As Operations Manager, Johan’s day-to-day involves negotiating with suppliers, sourcing new product and maintaining relationships among stakeholders and the supply chain. The end goal is to sustain the businesses needs and do so in a way that upholds the high standards of the brand. Achieving this brings Johan immense pride in his work.

Johan has been with us since 2015 and cites his exposure to the multitude of people and cultures across the group as one of his greatest opportunities to learn.

Quality, he says, is at the heart of every decision we make when sourcing our ingredients and is something that sets our brands apart from others. And when it comes to quality, Johan knows exactly what he’s looking for, having previously learned first-hand when managing operations in our kitchens.

This intimate knowledge of the product is a skill that comes in handy when Johan steps in to train our chefs.

Johan has always known that a career in hospitality was in his future. Having lived in Dubai for seven years and having worked with tashas since 2015, he has an extensive network of suppliers and service providers that are a great asset to the group and our partners.
